This unique concept of wrought iron over canvas has been developed by Nelsonn and his work in this area is to be found in many important collections.

Although Nelsonn produces some limited editions in bronze he also likes to work directly in wax and produce one off unique pieces. A famous series of unique pieces formed the initial exhibition at gallery 26 at 27: Blind Faith a series of thirteen sculptures of individuals and group figures, with amazing dynamics, strength and energy. Nelson had the idea of producing 26 sculptures blindfolded that he called Blind Faith. ‘Faith can take many forms, religious faith, faith in relationships with individuals and faith in yourself’ Nelsonn said, and he certainly had to have faith in his ability to produce these figures in this way and the results have been described as ‘incredibly powerful’ and ‘sculptures with tremendous feeling’. These bronze figures on slate bases were made in wax and cast into bronze; they are each unique, one off pieces that will never be sold as an edition or reproduced.
